The Ocean City Islamic Center was founded by a small group of Muslim families who recognized the need for a dedicated place of worship in the Ocean City area. What started as informal gatherings in homes gradually evolved into organized Friday prayers and community events.
Over the years, our community has grown steadily, welcoming Muslims from diverse backgrounds - residents, seasonal workers, students, and visitors. Through the dedication of our members and the mercy of Allah, we have maintained regular services and programs despite not having a permanent facility.
The construction of our new mosque marks a historic milestone in our community's journey. This permanent facility will provide us with the space and resources to better serve our growing community and expand our programs for generations to come.
